All of the creations are dark-humored and fun because I believe in humor over tears when it comes to dealing with my illness, which I’ve had for nearly 24 years. It’s truly been a long and arduous battle. The purpose of this page is to generate additional funds for gas or parking when I have to travel the 200-mile round-trip to Seattle for doctor's appointments and surgeries. Also, for a costly medication called Vaquenza.
Vaquenza is a $400 a month medication, and this IS with health insurance. It doesn’t have a generic version of this medication, unfortunately. If I can tolerate this medication, it would be a game changer, because I’ve got a severely damaged esophagus; it’s completely collapsed. Unfortunately, this isn’t something that can be fixed with surgery. I’m having trouble with simple things like swallowing my medication. It gets stuck in my esophagus. My anesthesia team has a serious problem with intubating me, also. So both are serious problems. 
I’ve read that patients feel the results from this medicine within the first half hour of taking it, and a huge turnaround within two weeks of taking this medication. I want to at least have the opportunity to try this medicine for at least one month if I can.
So I created items that I could make and sell to help raise the funds instead of doing a ‘GoFundMe’ account. It just felt better to me psychologically to do it this way instead of just asking people to donate money.
